BUYBRAND Expo is a first-rate event in the world of franchising in Russia and the CIS. This year, the event will be special, as the Exhibition is celebrating its anniversary. Over 15 years, a dozen foreign brands were able to enter the Russian market, and hundreds of Russian companies developed their franchise chains throughout and beyond the country thanks to the Exhibition. In total, over 14,000 franchising agreements were signed thanks to BUYBRAND Expo.

The world-wide development of franchising business is becoming a trend, as it is in Russia, too. This is mainly due to the fact that franchises are more resistant to crisis and to unstable economics, and this, in turn, increases their popularity in challenging times. "In times of crisis developments, businesspeople prefer to invest in franchises, rather than in their own businesses,” notes Ekaterina Soyak, CEO of EMTG, the organizer of the Exhibition.

This year more than 200 brands will be introduced at BUYBRAND Expo, including Cofix, COFFEESHOP COMPANY, BNI GLOBAL, INVITRO, Hemotest Tamaris, Surf’n’Fries, Baskin’ Robbins, Sushi Love, Southern Fried Chicken, IL Patio, Carl’s Jr., 1C, Cinnabon, Hesburger, Fix Price and many others.

The entry list of the new participants will be special. So, for the first time in Russia, two large store chains of home goods from Turkey – Madam Coco and Biev-Bernardo – will introduce their franchise models. It also will be a debut participation for a number of the companies: BABOR BEAUTY SPA, the unique beauty salon franchise from Germany; Gipfel International, the largest producer and retail operator in the kitchenware market, Rosso Arancio, the concept of the Italian author's ice-cream cafe with original own-produced Italian desserts, the franchise of the brokerage company Larson & Holz and other companies.

As for the Russian companies, these brands will be introduced for the first time: Sovetskaya Apteka, Rus Salut, StilPark, Rublevskiy, Rybnyy Den and many others.

On September 29, BUYBRAND Expo will host an unprecedented event in Russian franchise – BUYBRAND's BlackFriday!

Black Friday franchising is a new project, through which visitors will be able to buy a franchise under special terms which will be valid only and exclusively on Friday, September 29. The companies will offer a discount on a lump-sum contribution or royalties, a grace period without royalties, marketing support, a discount on the goods and other advantageous options for acquiring a franchise of their brand.

This year, the Business Forum will please with its scope. The presentation will take place in the Advanced Hall by the speakers from the leading franchise companies, among whom are Alexander Ostrovsky, the founder of INVITRO, Vitaliy Podolsky, the master franchisee of the Sbarro international fast food pizza chain in Russia and the CIS, Yury Tetrov, managing partner of Eataly Moscow, Fedor Ovchinnikov, founder and co-owner of Dodo Pizza and many others.

Thierry Rose, the founder of Franchise Growth & Development, will make his debut speech in Russia. Thierry supervised the operations of 750 Burger King restaurants and was responsible for the operations of 350 Subway points in 6 countries. He managed the institutions of Subway and Dunkin 'Donuts in Madrid as a franchisee. And at the moment he is a master franchisee and an exclusive representative of the French brand Le Kiosque à Pizzas in Spain and Portugal, and also runs its own consulting agency. At the forum Thierry will speak about how to choose the right franchise and how to rise from one store point to a "cluster" franchisee.

The legal aspects of the franchiser–franchisee relationships will be analyzed in a unique format for the forum – a mock trail – the format of role-playing game. Also on the program is "Fire, water and copper pipes: winning strategy”, a session about systemic crises in companies and the ways for their overcoming by the example of real cases; "Best practices" is a session about the standards of quality management in franchising chains; "The long-term strategy of franchisors is the key to the success of a franchise chain" is a session about the advantages of having strategic plans and the consequences of their absence, and other topics.

Two specialized educational schools will be held for the first time within the framework of the forum. In the School of Retail, the entrepreneurs are taught to build a system of store work, which will inevitably lead to the increase in the quality of service and financial indicators. The two-day training for future franchisors will focus on the company structure, the improvement of business processes, the concept "polishing" of the enterprise and all that needs to be rebuilt before the franchise is launched, as well as directly the franchise package.

The exhibition is organized by EMTG, in a strategic partnership with the Russian Franchise Association, with the support of OPORA RUSSIA and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
