On May 11-12, the international franchise exhibition Buybrand Central Asia Congress took place in Almaty (Kazakhstan). The organizer of the exhibition, EMTG company, brought with them 28 international brands, including the Hilton and AZIMUT hotels hotel chains, COLIZEUM e-sports clubs and arenas, the Georgian bistro "Shvili" and the Italian restaurant "Osteria Mario", X-Fit fitness center, Sokolov jewelry store, MPR self-service store, the educational “ROBBO” Center, delivery of Japanese and pan-Asian Sushi cuisine “Wok”, coffee shops “Coffee Boom” and “One Price Coffee”, restaurants Il Patio and "Planeta Sushi", Uzbek cuisine restaurant "Uryuk" and many other brands.
In addition to the exhibition, an extensive business program was prepared. Business practitioners with experience in brand development in the USA, France, Great Britain, Russia, Spain, the Baltic States and Central Asia raised such topical issues as network standards control tools, brand launch to foreign markets, location search and evaluation, business model calculation, legal aspects of franchising and others. The speakers were the managing partner of STARS COFFEE, former Vice President of Starbucks in Russia and Kazakhstan Ernesto Gonzalez, Managing Partner of the Portmann Group, Certified Franchise Manager (CFE) of the International Franchise Association (IFA) Marcel Portmann, founder of the Lanzhou fast food chain Gulbanu Maigarina and many others.
The event was organized for those who plan to buy a franchise and become a business owner under a well-known brand, as well as for franchisors, franchisees and suppliers. The congress was attended by more than 400 people, including investors, owners and top management of companies from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and other countries.
For 20 years EMTG team has held 115 international exhibitions and conferences dedicated to franchising, vending trade, licensing and other business areas.
